In recognition of our own success, we felt it only right to enter NBG for the Observer Business of the Year Awards (Innovation category). After careful consideration, we selected the innovation category as we felt it best reflected the hard work and efforts we put in over the year.
Growing our clients businesses whilst the country was gripped by one of the worse economic downturns in history took some highly innovative marketing clever PR, exceptionally clever campaigns and a strong focus on growing and strengthening our clients brand awareness.
NBG has grown at a phenomenal rate throughout 2009 and this growth has meant we have had to implement new and innovative marketing tools and online services to assist and support our growing portfolio of clients. Over the last 6 months, newbrandguru has designed, produced and delivered a variety of innovative and stunning marketing videos for our clients to assist in boosting their product sales.
Video has been gaining popularity in all aspects of marketing; almost all of the successful marketers online are using video in some form or another. It is being used in many different ways and the possibilities are ever expanding in any type of business. Whether you are selling a product, dream holidays, or even a car, videos are being used to market all of these products. We as a society have become used to expecting to see something visual as an aid to the buying process. The concept of using videos in any type of marketing has become a necessity in order to sell goods or service.
Video just seems to get stronger as more and more new product launches come out involving video as their prime mode of selling and promoting new products. Building anticipation by showing a new video each day for two or even three weeks prior to a new product being introduced. Video has really become the focal point to a new era of marketing online.
The viral effect of videos can have a phenomenal effect in creating new customers. Put simply, if you are not using some type of video in your marketing efforts you are leaving money on the table and your marketing efforts are in the stone ages. With YouTube, Google Video, and all the other video submission sites, the possibilities are endless. With millions of visitors each and every day to each of these sites marketing online has become the “Video Marketing Age”.
Last year Twitter usage grew 422%. In February this year, it hit the frankly ridiculous growth rate of 1,382% according to Nielsen Online. There is some suggestion that growth has peaked further recently, but no matter which way you look at it, Twitter is huge.
Twitter has the ability to turn every day chatter into a must have marketing tool and invaluable source of intelligence for businesses, while engaging potential consumers in a way that seems to have become increasingly tricky for traditional media.
For many people, advertising has increasingly come to be seen as an irritating interruption. Consumers, once a captive audience, now fast-forward ads on their digital TVs, complain about pop-ups on the internet and treat emails from companies they are otherwise happy to do business with as spam.
With Twitter, you choose to hear from people and more importantly interact with people in a two-way dialogue. Companies, including Starbucks, already use Twitter to pump out their latest offers to those customers that sign up. Much of the mainstream media is using it to promote their content, offering links to articles in newspapers, magazines or promoting events and product launches.
There is simply no avoiding social media within your marketing plan and for those of you that are not Tweeting, you could be missing out on a great deal of business. Using Social Media tools as part of your marketing plan is a great cost effective method of communicating with your target audience.
